Does the buckle on spur straps go to the outside or inside? Ive seen it both ways.?

awesome question. I've always been told buckle to the outside so you don't rub the horse, but I like my spur straps so I put the buckle on the inside. The buckle shouldn't rub anyway if you sit properly.
