Animal Abuse............?

Everyday when I take my dog out I shoot hoops. One time is was working on running and dribbling down our marble steps and the ball bounced iff an edge and hit my dog. Another time I was shooting, it hit the rim, bounced and hit my dog in the head. I AM STOPPING SHOOTING HOOPS AND WALKING THE DOG. but, I just want to know if I abused my dog by accident....HELP??!!
