Are Republican tax cuts like putting the cart before the horse?

Not according to government statistics. The tax cuts of 1920, 1962, 1982 spurred tremendous growth in the economy, and brought in far more federal tax revenues than otherwise forecasted. The Reagan tax cuts double federal revenues 5 years faster than Carter projected in his 1980 budget forecasts.
