Would it be smart to get an Eric Lichaj USA jersey?

I thought he was a really strong player at the Gold Cup but I know how they never really keep the same defenders. Cherundolo and Bocanegra are really the only ones that have been almost permanent. I just don't want to get a jersey of him then never see him in a USA match again. And I was looking for a fellow American defender and Bocanegra is too old he's gonna retire from international soccer any time now.
