Please could I have some help on my new boyfriend?

I have got together with this lad that I have known for 14 years and we have started a relationship today and he is so full on but I love it and we are not going to have sex in this relationship but all of a sudden he just decides that he wants to stop what ever we are doing and he just leaves me by myself. I am really upset that he just left on the spur of the moment what should I do and is it wrong to feel like this?
